NATHAN!!

Kids prepare for collage in unusual ways and some don’t. By time most kids reach high school they do not know what they want to do with their lives. Kids study for excessive hours to get to collage to not know what to do. High schools really do not prepare you for collage they only give you the education leading up to it.

At Sparta High point this is different. The students here plan and manage the time to get the things they need done. If they do not get it done they do not have the teacher there to say, oh well turn it in late or do this for extra credit. Here is just a sample of one story written by a student who attends high point. It is different from what you are normally used to from a student but the harsh reality is that the high school is worse then people think.

The doors open to the first day of school and a kid names Nathaniel LaVern Clemens walked threw them. The first day of 8^th grade is always the best. Meeting new friends, not knowing who to hang with is always the though part. 8^th grade for some kids is a good start. Nathaniel on the other hand wasn’t so good of a start. All year he was working on making friends. He found a click to role with and they ditched him then hated him. He didn’t ever do anything except be himself. It took the harsh school to show a young new kid how to make friends and at this age in life means not being your self. Lying is the essence of friendship. As so everyone thought.

Nathan Finally found the friends he needed as so the girl friend the thought he did. Her name was Kim and he thought they would last forever. They were on and off for almost 4 years. Nathan was so in love with Kim no one really understood. Kim her self really didn’t know. See Nathan had some anger problems but never toward her. She still seen this and kept losing her interest in him. The dated many guys in the time Nathan and her kept breaking up. Nathan loved her so much but a person can only take so much. After the last time breaking up Nathan ended it for good a new girl came into his life. Her name was Maggie and she was amazing. He got reminded of everything Kim had but with the stability of not breaking up. That was a joke, Nathan and Maggie fought because of her friends all the time. None of them liked him. The relationship went really well for a couple of months then things started going downhill. Nathan had fallen for Maggie and felt that he loved her more then anything in this world. Maggie had made new friends with a kid names Kyle and Nathan was so jealous. Finally Maggie left him and he was devastated. He tried everything to get her back. She was running for Miss. Sparta and took 1^st attendant spot. She had a party afterwards and Nathan had showed up. He walked in and seen her kissing Kyle. To this day he doesn’t know if he really seen her, or wanted to. He turned around and left. Burned out around every corner leaving and finally went home. He was crying so hard he could barley see. He got in his car and drove to his mom’s house. He didn’t make it. Nathan wanted all the sadness to end and his car went off the road. The grass grabbed the wheel and a loud band roared. The car hit a pole pushing the car to the side over a 10 foot drop. This cause the car to fly over a fence and land 47 feet away from the road, when the car had hit the pole it penetrated the passenger window only two feet from Nathan’s head.

The cops and firemen and everyone showed up to the scene. Nathan was rushed to the hospital and then chaptered 51 for attempting suicide. When Maggie found out she rushed to the hospital were here was and tried explaining everything. He held her for hours and finally she had to leave. The next day Nathan was released and went back for the last day of school.

Nathan and Maggie tried working things out and only had a few fights. They worked with each other all summer and were turning out like nothing had happened. School started again and they were starting to fight again. One weekend came and she didn’t call him and she told him she would. He tried calling her everyday for a week and no answer. Finally he went to her house and talked to her. They ended there. Fighting went on and harsh words went threw for about 3 months after that and now they do not talk anymore.

Nathan was helped getting over Maggie with the help of his friend at the time Ali. He thought she was amazing. She had the most amazing eyes, they could talk about anything and he fell for her. Some mind games were played and they just because amazing best friends.
